Back Round Moon Street

Posted: December 2nd, 2009 | Author: | Filed under: Graf | No Comments »

Love Moon Street as ever, it’s been the home of lots of work for years and years now, so given it’s been a while, it seemed worth an update of what’s round there at the mo…

Some bits haven’t changed obviously, so not going to blog the lot, but this chap’s always jolly…

…a panda stencil by one of the alleys under fashionable 51 02. Just for those who come across these posts through predictable google searches, it’s not by Banksy.

Round the corner a bit, the wall of the Full Moon’s been filling up steadily for a year or so now. Some bits have been there for yonks obviously, the SPQR spaceman and the Awkward work…

But these BS51 pieces are new-ish…

…nice to see some more freehand ishwork from the chap for a change.

This Fake stencil’s been blogged before, but here’s a close up anyway.

Bit further along, the donkeys everyone photographs.

Yep.

Round the corner up Moon Street, the massive Burning Candy production, as painted during the filming of ‘Tags to Riches’ is still holding up well, looks all the better for some tidy 3Dom work next to it.

A comment on getting up for school?

Not completely new but still looking pretty fresh further up the street…

..nice to see another rendering of that bunny you see about.

This door must have a good few layers of history on it under there, now a nice sky scene…

…no?

Finally, os these were done a short while after the main painting, not sure the Lokey and Haka work on Lakota got put up on here in the end. So here they are for the record…

…Haka…

… and good Mr Lokey.

Green Bastid In Henleaze

Posted: December 2nd, 2009 | Author: | Filed under: Graf | No Comments »

Fresh in today from 3rd Eye AKA The Green Bastid, this from up in Henelaze, the paint still presumably dampish given the weather.

Top man for getting this done, if these are the boards they look like then they’ve needed brightening up for ages, and getting that much painted on a day this cold warrants special mention too.

Up on Henleaze ‘high street’ off the Downs by the look of it, go check them out.

Update: Bigger, closer, wider. Be the clicker, enjoy the reward.

Check out the Green Bastid blog too, a welcome addition to the ether.

Bristol Graffiti Christmas Cards

Posted: December 2nd, 2009 | Author: | Filed under: Graf | No Comments »

Just an annual reminder for you. If you’re in need of Christmas cards this year, then you could do far worse than pick up some Bristol Graffiti cards from Temwa. They’re the same as last year, but still pretty cool, unique cards by the TCF, specifically Aji, Seza, Eko, Xenz and Ziml.

Only a fiver per pack, and all proceeds go to the top folks at Temwa to make the world a better place.

Friend and Co Christmas Show

Posted: December 2nd, 2009 | Author: | Filed under: Graf | No Comments »

Hope you’ve not got too much planned for the 11th of December, as there’s a lot on that night, here and abroad.

One you really shouldn’t miss though is the Friend and Co Christmas show, with another top line up and a good mix of people from Bristol and further afield. Namely, for those with screen readers;

Asbestos, China Mike, Dora, Eelus, Eine, Inkie, Kid Acne, Milk, Miss Bugs, Mr Jago, Mudwig, Nylon, Petro, Richt, Rowdy, Russel Maurice, Will Barras, Xenz and 45RPM.

Put all that lot together with the usual Friend and Co hospitality and fun crowd, and you’ve got something well worth a wander along to.In fact, you could do a crawl from the Beezer show, through Friend and Co and on to Weapon of Choice all on the same evening, with barely a hill encountered.

Alternatively, if you can’t make it on the night, it’s on til Christmas eve, so plenty of time to accidentally wander past it whilst the Mrs is trying to make you go Christmas shopping.
