Go On Then…

For yonks now, the blog’s meant to have featured a whole load of Banksy photos from back in the day. Bits have drifted in there and there, but there’s always been so much else going on that the main set have got bumped.

Always meant to blog them with ‘then and now’ shots of how the walls they were on look nowadays as well, but it seems free time and good weather have rarely coincided. But then, google street view came along and solved that problem simply and easily.

So, given time’s a bit shorter at the moment, and it would be a shame not to keep these photos together in a way, how about one old Bristol Banksy photo per day for a short while?

Here’s the first one, a variant on the flower thrower theme that was on the right hand door of Screen One on Jamaica Street, where Banksy was getting printing done at the time. Got painted out fairly quickly (an inside job), so it’s still technically under there.

Here’s where it was…

Very Nearly Almost, issue 9

Issue 9 is  another corker from the VNA boys with artist interviews and features on the likes of Sickboy, Jeff Soto, Meggs, Ludo and Ron English, as well as the usual hand picked selection of tags, stickers, paste-ups and every other incarnation of street art and graffiti in the UK and further afield.
In short, it’s a ruddy beauty - grab it here.
And for [...]
