Do you know Final Frontier? NO? Well let’s go! Final Frontier brings you smart contextual street art like Dan witz, Spy or Filthylucker. Here’s for Fatcap readers his interview… enjoy!
FC: Where are you from and what’s your background?
I’m from a small town in east yorkshire, and now i’m down in london looking to push my work forward.
FC: How did you get into street art?
I picked up a spray can for the first time about 2 years ago travelling with my ex-girlfriend and her friends. I started doing throw-ups with them and fucking loved it. I’ve been pushing my ideas forwards ever since.
FC: Which tool do you prefer: stencil, bombing, wheatpaste…?
Wheatpasting is my favourite, the city is lacking in the wallpaper department. Although I do love the freereign in size that a spraycan can give you.

FC: What kind of book do you read?
Graf books and graphics books, thats it.
FC: Why are you using the light bulb sign (euréka!!)?
Its about having ideas and imposing them on the city you live in. The city is yours so do what you want with it!

FC: What do you think about the street art hype?
Its good in the sense that its getting alot more kids into it, in a few years time all these beginners are gonna to be pros and the city will be a much more interesting place to walk around in.
FC: How would you define your work and what inspires you?
My work I would like to define as fun and inspiring. The city is so boring and repatitious, I want everybody to change it and personalize it for themselves. Walking to work every day inspires me more than anything just because of how fucking dull it is!
FC: Would you say that graffiti and street art are under the same umbrella?
Graffiti has alot of background, like a sub-culture with its own little set of rules. Street art is relatively new and much more open. But yes ofcourse they’re in the same ballpark.
FC: What’s coming up in the next few months? Show, travels… etc…
I’m gonna be melting stuff all over East London very soon.

FC: Are you in a crew, do you work with other artists?
No
FC: What’s your real goal?
To have a style of design that is unique and remembered for years, – also to have it in a place that is so high that it cant be cleaned off for years!
FC: Name some artist whose work your respect?
Darius and Downey are class. They mess around with the rules of the city in a way i’ve never seen – their work is so fun – there’s no need for big flashy political concepts, they just play around with the city how they see fit. Also check out Roadsworth’s stuff, he’s doing a similar thing and its fucking awesome. I love anything in street art that changes the function of the citys peramiters and boundaries. Oh and Alexandre Orion is quality aswell, you’ve just gotta see his work its class.

FC: You seems to like/hate Superman? Why? He’s a superheros!!
The point is that superman is convensionally someone who can use the city as he likes. But now as there are so many restrictions and boundaries within the city, even superman is someone who cant go and do what he wants!
